“It’s very rare to be 100% sure about what you’re doing […] so I would recommend this to everybody.” – Sophie

Sophie shares how Career Guidance allowed her to become more self-confident and aware of her strengths and weaknesses.

Sophie’s Situation:

At the beginning of the Career Guidance she expected that it would help her become more self-confident, to know herself better, and find the path that’s right for her regarding her studies. Sophie believes that the guidance met them all and more.   Now, when Sophie is stressed, she feels more capable of sitting herself down and working out what she can do about it.

The exercises:

During the guidance,  Sophie had to decide on her strengths and her weaknesses, say how her friends and parents made their decisions, and what their work is like. The Career Guidance also had Sophie playing “games” (in her words) to help her pick out her strength and weaknesses, her opportunities and obstacles. Then Sophie had to list all the criteria that was important to her in her studies, and the possible jobs she was considering.  All of which enabled Sophie to decide that Psychology was the right path for her.

Sophie recommends this Career Guidance to everyone as it’s very common to have doubts and not be 100% sure of what you want to do, even if you’re already working. This guidance also helps you to have the self-confidence to know what you want to pursue with your life.
