In the private sector, maybe most of the actors’ real mission is just profit making. But it doesn’t necessarily have to be like this. There are companies that while seeking to get profit, have a mission (we are talking about the real one, not the one many companies state for marketing purposes) that is meaningful to you.
If you are more concerned with social, environmental, educational or cultural aspects, it might be more probable to find that ‘proper leg’ in the so called ‘third sector’: nonprofit organisations, NGO’s, foundations… or the ‘public sector’.
